Music - Our Department
The Department has two rooms on the first floor for class teaching. All students follow a general course in Performing and Listening skills and basic reading. First and Second Year students study a mainly practical course based on 5-14 Guidelines.
We have four teachers who contribute to class teaching as well as five instrumental teachers who are based in the school house and teach students individually for instrumental lessons.
Music Instruction
Tuition in certain instruments is sometimes available to students and who are keen to learn. Further information can be obtained from the Music Department. The tuition is provided by withdrawing students on a rota basis from normal classes. Initial selection is by audition.
Parents who are interested in this opportunity may wish to telephone the department at the start of the session to obtain the necessary paperwork.
