Whole School Improvement Plan
Planning For Improvement – Annual Action Plan
In our school we are constantly seeking to do the best for all our pupils and inevitably that involves reviewing and changing our practices where appropriate. A key part of that process is our Annual Action Plan where we (a) spell out those areas of school life judged to be requiring attention and (b) draw up a work plan to address the issues involved.
The content of the plan – also referred to as the School Improvement Plan – derives from a number of sources ie:
- The national education agenda
- Local (ie Scottish Borders) educational priorities
- Our own in-house priorities as identified through a range of audits and surveys
Each plan contains a work schedule for the period May-February, with the March-April period used for taking stock and measuring progress. An annual progress report is provided for parents in the Easter Newsletter.
